Riley Hays

My name is Riley Hays, and I am a 19 year old freshman at Rockhurst University. I am originally from the Kansas City area and graduated from Pleasant Hill High School. I am currently undecided on my major but am strongly considering elementary education or a field within psychology, as I have a strong interest in working with children!
 
I bring a wide range of childcare experience. This past summer, I worked at a daycare caring for children ages 5–12, where I gained hands-on experience in structured settings. I have also worked as a nanny, caring for two children ages 9 and 10 during after-school hours until their parents returned home. In addition, I have extensive day to day childcare experience through helping care for my 10-year-old sister, who has often been entirely my responsibility over the past several years.
 
I am a member of the women’s volleyball team at Rockhurst University, which has helped me develop strong responsibility, time-management, and teamwork skills. I am also involved in multiple on campus faith based groups, FCA as well as another Bible study with some other athletes and friends. 
 
I am reliable, patient, and genuinely enjoy working with children! I aim to provide a safe, positive environment and dependable care so parents can feel confident leaving their children in my care.
