My name is Wendy Johnston. I am currently an Early Childhood teacher in the Shawnee Mission School District. I have experience teaching early childhood general and special education as well as elementary, middle, and high school special education. I have degrees in both education and psychology.
I am available for evening or weekend babysitting or tutoring. I am also able to babysit larger groups of children and I LOVE watching babies! I was a foster parent for 9 years (my youngest is adopted from foster care) and I have experience caring for medically fragile and/or medically complex children and babies. I am working towards a graduate certification in Behavior Analysis and have experience working with children who exhibit challenging behaviors. I have the Seal of Literacy in the Science of Reading and have tutoring experience in both math and reading.
